It takes a few days to work as they starve to death

dementedpixie · 19/12/2019 21:44

Have you seen a gp? You dont normally get worms in vomit

BuckingFrolics · 19/12/2019 21:45

All the family needs to be treated and all sheets towels boil washed sorry

dementedpixie · 19/12/2019 21:51

You don't need to boil wash but it should all be thoroughly rinsed. And yes to treating everyone.

sparkly72 · 19/12/2019 21:56

Pharmacist told me yesterday the advice has changed to only treat family members with symptoms, or not to automatically redose after 2 weeks

dementedpixie · 19/12/2019 21:59

www.nhs.uk/conditions/threadworms/ nhs says to treat everyone.

Why would he be throwing up worms? They aren't threadworm if he is and he will need treatment with something else.

Fishcakey · 20/12/2019 07:14

I agree, that's roundworm and not threadworm if he is throwing them up. Get to the GP.

Angjones16 · 20/12/2019 08:33

He was throwing up worms, also he has been to the hospital and been treated hense the ovex

He was throwing up threadworm? I've never heard anything like it, he must have had a huge burden.

Angjones16 · 20/12/2019 18:33

He had been constipated due to illnesses that were going round and doctor said because he had been throwing up for few days thats how they exited his body. Im just going with what the doctor said and what the doctor gave him :)

I had worms last year and the stuff worked pretty promptly.

FeatherySquawkington · 20/12/2019 19:08

@Angjones16 Oh yes, of course go with the Dr. I wasn't criticising or judging or anything. Just hadn't heard of that happening before!
