18mth old bronchiolitis?

My 18 mth old, who seems fine in them self, has very rattly breathing, like a pug. They are not struggling to breathe at all but it sounds like they have a lot of loose phlegm going on. No fever. No snotty nose. Just the noisy breathing.

I haven't taken them to the GP about it because I'm assuming they will say 'they are eating, they don't have a fever, go away'

Could it be bronchiolitis? I'm a tonsil connoisseur thanks to Dc1 but this has me stumped.

Are they sucking their chest in when they breathe? So you can see really prominent ribs? That was a good sign it's bronchiolitis from memory.

No sucking in. Just sounding phlegmy.

The doctor told us a cough can last 8 weeks. My two have had plenty of coughs that longer for ages and sound horrible. But as long as it's just a cough and otherwise they're fine and not struggling with breathing etc there's nothing to worry about other than easing the annoying cough. Bronco stop and baby vix on the feet help

Could be an upper respiratory infection? Bronchiolitis tends to be deeper in the lungs and can make it quite hard for them to breathe.
