Does this sound like a cough or something else?

My daughter has a really horrible hacking cough, shes brought up some phleg, she has a sore throat, and has a bit of a runny nose and weepy eye - I'm not too bothered about those symptoms, as horrible as they are because she has no temperature and I'm fairly sure it's a typical cold but she is complaining of tummy pains around the sides and her belly button, and has been wetting herself I'm not sure if this is maybe connected to the cough or if I should be concerned its something else? I really want to avoid a doctor's appointment tomorrow if possible because it's her birthday tomorrow Sad

How old is she?

CinderellasSecrets · 11/12/2019 18:12

She'll be 4 tomorrow

If she normally has good bladder control and is complaining of side/back pain I'd be inclined to get her checked in case of UTI/kidney infection.

Yes that did cross my mind, i did think that always caused quite high temperatures in children though but I will get her checked out

Could be tonsillitis? That can present with tummy pain when little. Although it's likely that would also run alongside a temperature, my dd has had it with a very low lying temp in the past.

If she’s got tummy pain and wetting herself then I would get an appointment with your GP. Viruses can also give you tummy pain though which it also sounds like she’s got.

Thank you everyone, I got an appointment in the end it turns out she has laryngitis, an infection (but the doctor wasn't sure where) and croup. So she is really poorly, shes also passed on all of these to her 6 month old sister too so I have two very poorly children now.

Oh Cinderallas, you're going to have a tough time. Hope the dds are on the mend sharpish.
