Earache _ is there anything I've missed.

Ds is9 and has had on going glue ear since birth. Earache is normal for him. He's had grommets and currently wears hearing aids. Today he woke at2am in agony with left ear. We've been alternating calpol/calprofen all day. Trip to docs and now on antibiotics as ear cancel is read and angry and drum not visible. He's still in masses of pain, I've tried hot water bottles but he can't tolerate that. Have I missed anything that could give him some pain relief (entanox???-only joking). Thanks for any other suggestions my brain is fried.

Given his history and the level of pain he is in despite painkillers then I would ring 111 and ask for advice.

Thanks I'm kind of thinking that so it's good to hear that someone else suggests it.
