4 month old suddenly very vocal same time as having a cough?

My 4 and a half month old has unfortunately caught a cold and has a very wheezy chest. We've been to the GP and been told to just make her comfortable and try let it pass, use saline drops etc if nose gets blocked, paracetamol if temp etc etc but not had to use anything like that yet.

Anyway, since developing this cough she has been particularly vocal constantly throughout the day. She has started making these noises as if trying to talk but it can go on for about 15 minutes at a time, and it sounds strange but at times it looks like she's not even aware she's doing it, it's almost like a drone being interrupted every 5 or so seconds. Currently my husband is stood rocking her and she is "talking" away.

Not sure if it has anything to do with her cough/cold, but does this sound normal and is it just by coincidence that something that's normal development has came at the same time as her nasty cough?

It doesn't sound uncomfortable but at the same time is quite strange as it's just like a babble/moan almost, but she doesn't appear in any pain. I'm not overly concerned just curious!

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks x
