Head injury advice / experience

Hi, this is my first post for a bit of advice

My DS has been very ill with tonsillitis this week, with two hospital admissions. In these admissions I noticed a droopy eye and started to panic as the week previous he hit his head at school and separately on our kitchen floor.

Whilst there I asked them to do neurological obs and all was ok - the symptoms of stiff neck, head pain and eye lid droop were put down to the infection.

A week down the line and he is very irritable, eye still the same and he just isn’t right. He is asking for the tele loud as he can’t hear very well which lead me to go to minor injuries who again checked him and put it down to the infection.

I just don’t feel this is right - I am a nurse and I can normally rationally think about thinks like this but this time I’m not sleeping and I’m worried sick that he has a head injury and I’m not being listened too, the trouble is I have no head injury experience to go off, am I thinking straight or am I just tired and emotional.

To summize, he wasn’t sick and didn’t loose consciousness. The main symptoms are this droopy eyelid, hearing loss and irritability.

How old is he?
Im sure as you well know it could be a lot of things. Maybe take him to the GP? Personally I don't think now a week or two down the line its something the Hospital would even look into as its not acute. GP might be the best thing in the morning?

Do you mean a droopy eyelid? (a ptosis).
Tonsillitis wouldn't usually cause that.
