I have a DS 2 and DD 1.
My DS was poorly a lot as a younger baby but was born premature so usually goes hand in hand, he is fine now!
DD has been very poorly since the summer numerous hospital administration's, she has had a drip and back to back antibiotics... For all kinds of things (eye infections, tonsillitis, throat infections, chest infections)
20.11.19 she was taken into hospital once again with tonsillitis and was given a 10 day course of antibiotics and sent home, during her time in the antibiotics she contracted Scarlett Fever, was told to finish the antibiotic course and she would be fine.
So sounds pretty simple that is what we did.. finished the course Saturday. Woke up Sunday fine all day. Woke up Monday with green infected eyes and a bad chest. Myself and my husband decided we have been down this road many times we will sort her out at home. Tuesday morning wakes up much worse, I took her to GP and was sent on e again to hospital. We had an over night stay a lot of sick hardly any fluids taken and reletivly dry nappies.. blood test done which show she has a bacterial infection and high white blood cells, x-ray done and shows chest infection. She now has a 7 day course of antibiotics to be followed directly after by a different 3 month course.
It is 2am and we are at home and she has just had a terrible nappy and once again has a raging temperature...
I am at my wit's end. Has anyone else had serious ongoing problems? What can I do?
I'm so sorry about the giant post. I just need somewhere to vent!
Thank you

My brother was exactly the same when he was a child, tonsillitis, chest infections, eczema. It took my mum until he was 11 to convince the hospital that he needed his tonsils out, had those & his adenoids done & never looked back, he never had an infection again. Before, every time he got a cold it went to his throat & chest, he had really bad asthma & eczema, he had to be wet bandaged every night before bed to stop his eczema cracking & bleeding & ended up in hospital regularly to be put on the nebuliser & oxygen plus steroids & antibiotics.

We had it with ds. Asthma/chest infections, eczema, ear infections.(11 in 8 months). He was gromnetted at 15.5 months and I gave up work so he gave up nursery. Immediate improvenent.

We had this with our dd for the first two years of her life. In and out of hospital with chest infections and wheezes etc. She also had sleep apnoea and didn't have the energy to fight any illness. Just before her second birthday she had a adenoids and tonsils taken out and she has honestly never looked back. She is now 3 and fighting fit. A simple cold would have landed in her hospital before and she breezes through them now.
