9mo DS had a fever last Friday. Had to pick him up from nursery. Calpol wasn't bringing the temp down. I took him to the GP and they gave him 5 days antibiotics. After 2 doses his fever was gone and already back to his normal self.
He's also had a dry chesty cough for 3 weeks now. We've been bringing it up with the dr and finally this week they gave us an inhaler to try and help with that.
Today his fever came back and again calpol isn't helping. The dr that gave the inhaler also gave another lot of antibiotics, saying in case his fever comes back - so have given him some tonight.
I guess I'm just trying to figure out if I should take him back to the dr via 111 this weekend. Is it normal for a baby to get the fever back after just finishing antibiotics? Or maybe it's something more and I should be pushing the dr for something else?
