My boy is booked in tomorrow as he has been getting funny night breathing problems. However he has a cold. Or its teething. His nose is runny and he has a cough. He's fine otherwise if a little irritated at times. Should I still take him in? I rang and they said they can't decide over the phone. If they check him over and decide to do it another time it's no biggy.

Would they do it with a cold? Anyone got experience? I'm a nervous wreck as it is since he has to have GA

Depends on if its confined to the upper respiratory or if on the chest.
If he seems ok does not have a temperature and has no breathing problems or chest infection they might still go ahead.
For this procedure he will be under for a very short amount of time.

Ok well I'm gli g to bring g him in and then they can assess him. If I come home so be it. At least he will get checked over

Good luck. It’s horrid if they have to postpone. It’s easier to get it done and behind you. As pp said, if it’s not on his chest and confined, with no temp, I’m sure they’ll proceed. As long as he’s ok in himself. Good luck. What are they looking for? My dd had one done while awake. It literally takes a few minutes.

Thank you. It's to look for a reason behind breathing issues at night. Will see what they say

Hope it goes well x

All went well so thank you. He does have an ear infection if the middle ear but it should clear up without antibiotics. His airways are good so it is something he will grow out of and not serious thankfully.

That’s good
