5 month old baby cold - tips and tricks

Hi all,

Please could you give me your best tips and tricks for easing cold symptoms (he's coughing, sneezing and snotty/ congested) in a baby?

We've got Calpol, cough mixture, baby vapo rub and a congestion easing plug in on the go. We're elevating his mattress slightly at one end for naps and will do the same this evening.

Saline nasal spray

Nose frida. Grim but satisfying and they do the trick!

Saline nasal spray. Water on radiator. Window open a crack if you can bear it...

A nurse recommended to rub some baby vicks on the soles of their feet and put socks on at bed time. My boy was 6 months old when he got a cold and it was worse at night but doing this definitely eased it for him during the nights!
