7yr woke up drenched in sweat

Hi my son who is generally health woke up today drenched in sweat his pjs are wet and the sheet. He has a cold which he has had for a while now but that isn't bothering him. Has anyone else had this?

Yes 4 year old has had that happen on occasion to point we thought she'd wet herself she generally just gets very hot during the night so just started to put her in shirt and shorts overnight with warm quilt and make sure shes had enough fluid during the day.
