Another chickenpox thread...

Chickenpox has been going around my son's year (year 1) at his school and he unsurprisingly got his first spot on Saturday. We are day 4 now and most spots have scabbed over and the itching has subsided. My apprehension now is his 18mo sister getting it, which is fairly inevitable I guess. She is such a dot and I worry so much about the complications that can sometimes occur with chickenpox, plus have heard that it is often worse for the sibling.
Anyone had any experience with when the younger sibling gets it? I am even disputing getting her the vaccination now which apparently can reduce symptom, even if she has already been exposed??
