My 8 year old dd appears to be growing breasts - she has gone from grape pips to about a cm out with larger nipples in a month. She is completely lean so not puppy fat, should I be worried I am worried?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hi. At 8 years old the GP won't do anything as precocious puberty is classed before 8 years of age. My daughter started developing age 7,they have a sudden hormones urge around then, then it slowed. She didn't have any treatment but is developing now age 10.5 at a faster rate than her peers.
Be open and talk to get about body changes. Puberty is a long process, sounds like she is just an early developer.

Ps. Please try not to worry- she will pick up on that. Reassure her it's normal and see the GP for reassurance if you need.

I was an early developer. Boobs (not fully formed) and period at 10, nothing to worry about. We develop at different rates

Thank you for the reassurances - the only boob growth I know anything about is my own and that was forty-odd years ago, so I was a touch alarmed. I will keep it low key then.
