My son started getting croup at 6 months, I thought he would grow out of it. But here we are at almost 5 and he's having his yearly bout. Anyone with the same experience?

Yes - my son first got croup at 7 months and is now 7 years old and still gets it. I'm hoping he will eventually grow out of it. He has had investigations at the hospital; there is nothing structurally wrong, it's just a weakness he has. If I hear it coming on, we now go to the hospital (out-of-hours or A&E) to get steroids e.g. prednisolone, and this usually prevents it from getting too bad. Good luck!

All of mine suffered with croup for years.
My eldest was 7 when she had her worst attack.
