Since the age of 1 my daughter has been getting blisters in her mouth and cold sores on her lip. We had a blood test when she was two and also a stool sample but both come back fine wasn't until she is now nearly 4 we've been back to the go as she has a coldsore inside her mouth and on the lip and has had it for 3 weeks we've had another blood test this time was for abnormalities and are awaiting results. Has anyone's kids had this and what was your outcome with the blood test ?

Thanks in advance... worried mummy Confused

I’m not sure if appropriate for children (although I can’t see why not) but after years and years and years of recurrent miserable cold sores which started as a toddler (thanks random relative!!!) I have completely resolved the issue by taking a daily L-Lysine supplement (I got it from Holland and Barrett).

There are also foods high in Lysine for example bananas.

I can’t recommend it enough!

Children can get such things As cold sores so so badly because their immune systems are a lot less developed.
