Swollen top lips

My kid is 4 and he gets this tiny red swelling on his cupids bow, the curved part of the lips. This started yesterday, also happened to him last winter and took me ages to get rid of it with lots of lip balms. Is this any kind of infection, dehydration or the dry winter effects? Its not very much swollen yet but I'm a very self-stressing mama.

Has he been licking his lips a lot?all kids go through that phase for some reason!(if it Is that!) I used and still use lansinoh cream its essentially nipple cream but fantastic for cracked or dry skin-Failing that see GP minor skin ailment if you docs still prescribe cream or even seeing a pharmacist x

I think it's just from licking and sucking. Keep it well moisturised- start now before it builds up. A friend always put face cream on her kids before taking them outside.

Will keep it moisturise even more now. Thanks
