Food poisoning

I just took my little boy (21 months) to soft play. I brought him a meal and when if came out the chicken was clearly very under cooked and almost raw. I managed to stop him before he ate any but he did eat a cookie that was on the plate next to the chicken. Could he have food poisoning?

As it sounds like a really dodgy outfit for food hygiene, yes he could develop food poisoning. It's unlikely if he didn't eat the chicken though. What you do need to do is call the soft play immediately to make them aware, and report them to the food standards agency. Keep the chicken as evidence.

Raw food doesn't automatically mean you'll get food poisoning. Depends entirely whether certain bacteria was present when consumed. The fact he didn't eat any of the raw meet would reduce his chances even more.

I wouldn't worry, but I would flag with owners.
