Pale poop in 3 year old.

Noticed this evening that my DBS (3) has pale yellow coloured poop, I've noticed this before as well but it doesn't seem too be constant. Along with other symptoms - dark circles under eyes, wetting the bed (has been dry day and night for around a year) and unexplained nose bloods - I'm really starting too worry. Has anyone else DC had anything like this before? Should I be worried or am I letting anxiety get the better of me??? Thank you.

Are you feeding him a good diet? Does he eat well? Does he have lots of energy? Does he sleep ok? Does he seen ok in himself? If so- stop worrying.

Go to the dr

TheHoundOfWinchester · 01/10/2019 21:30

Sleep isn't great, he rarely sleeps through the night and so only gets a max of 7 hours each night, his eating also is hit or miss but he does eat a wide variety of foods.

I'd get a sample and take him to the doctors. As it's alongside other symptoms. I believe it can signal liver issues but I'd honestly just speak to a doctor. (I'm not a doctor)

Has he had a tummy bug in the last few days. My DS has had clay coloured poos briefly after a couple of nasty tummy bugs.

TheHoundOfWinchester · 01/10/2019 21:33

No tummy bugs or any other illnesses for a while. Hes generally a pretty healthy kid! I'm going too make an appointment with dr tomorrow and hope too put my mind at ease! Hes my youngest DC and I developed anxiety focusing around his health after his birth so I accept I may be over reacting/worrying needlessly!

Sorry I probably wasn't clear if the poor sleeping and hit and miss eating is consistent but the pale poops are only for now - then the poo probably doesn't reflect the rest. If there was a pattern of dark brown poo, great sleep and eating an amazing healthy mixed diet - then it changes to pale poo, bad sleep, and no energy I would worry.

Lots of milk make my 3yo have pale stools

Do get it checked by the GP. As someone said above it can be indicative of liver issues (as a worst case scenario.) They’ll take a sample and rule out the worst at the very least!
