My 3 year old not urinating?

My son is 3, He's usually very active, very on the go, always up to something. The only problem I have had is getting him potty trained so far, he hates it and refuses no matter how much I offer to give him. Well that landed him in pull ups and trying to slowly nudge him and interest him. As of this morning he was dry, no pee. I thought i would ask if he would use the potty then, no luck. No big deal. Fast forward a few hours, he still has yet to pee in the pull up or even mention that he is wet or has to pee ( he likes to broadcast sometimes ) I'm becoming slightly concerned, how long is no urinating a problem? what can i do?

If he hasn't peed since last night I would be concerned and getting him checked out .

Has he weed somewhere secretly? Have you tried giving him some squash and then mentioning the potty again?

@brittlestar He hasn't, he won't usually pee elsewhere and never has. He has accidentally peed without a diaper/pull up but that was awhile back. He has been known to hold his pee for whatever reason. But this would be a long while holding it. But i'll definitely try bribing him with a favorite snack again.

Maybe try put a nappie on him to see if he goes? If he doesn't after an an hour or so then he needs to be seen in hospital. Could be in Urine retention although I'm not sure how common that is in a boy so young. How much had he been drinking? That will play a part
