EEG tomorrow for son's epilepsy

Any epilepsy mamas out there that can offer any advice please? My son has what we think are absence seizure but perhaps focal too/instead.

I'm wondering at what point it is that you receive the official diagnosis. Is it just a case of when the Dr has collated the MRI and EEG reports? So we'll have another long wait to receive the diagnosis and medication?

Ds diagnosis came after his EEG, he had a tonic clinic seizure and we suspected he'd been having absence seizures after doing research. He's since had an mri too.

We had some issues with our results/diagnosis etc. There was 4 weeks between EEG and results. If he didn't have another tonic clonic we would have been waiting longer.

Ours have always been reported same day but for a different seizure type.
But came on to say - I tried coconut oil last time to get rid of the glue and it worked a dream!

Thank you! I guess I'll just have to be more patient and see what happens tomorrow. I have coconut oil somewhere too :)
