3.5yr old da fever

Hi my 3.5yr old (non verbal) DS hasn’t been himself since yesterday. He has a fever and very tired today but no cold or any other symptoms. His temp is 38 on his head but his belly is 39.6’c 🥵 I’ve given calpol and he’s gone to sleep. Any ideas?

With no cold symptoms it literally could be anything from generic viral infection to bacterial infection of a uti or ear infection. There is no way of knowing, if you're worried about him I'd ring the gp.
