Strange bruising

My 4yo son has these bruises on his thigh. Seems quite strange to me, and has made me a bit worried. Any ideas or do you reckon just normal bruising?

Looks like he has fallen or sat against something? Duplo maybe?

Only thing I can think is a week ago he had an MRI & the sedation medicine sent him crazy, he was flopping around constantly on the bed for 20 minutes. Perhaps causing the bruising?
