Please help me feel better as I’m really beating myself up at the minute.

When we weened my daughter we gave her vitamin drops in her milk, and we did for quite a while as I can remember putting it in her milk even when we switched to cows milk when she turned one.

However, after sorting some kitchen cupboards today and finding an old bottle, I realised, we’ve not given her any for a very long time. Sad months even!

Now I feel like a really bad mum and that it might do her some harm eg bone/teeth development

I do suffer with anxiety and obsessive worrying so hopefully this is me over reacting.

Please someone tell me it’s not the end of the world

I've never given them to dd (5 next month). Dentist today raised no concerns, she's never had any teeth issues, she's tall and is either ahead or at age appropriate levels in her final nursery report

Is not the end of the world but it its advised to supplement vitamins A,C and D until age 5

It's fine! Doesn't matter.

What strategies do you use when thoughts like this are bothering you? Because you do know that most people never bother with extra vitamins and do fine? Does meditation or a mindfulness practice help? I used to use Headspace and only stopped when i developed a crush on the voiceover Blush

Thank you for your reply’s.
I’ll start again tomorrow, to ease my anxiety. I’d still love to hear other people thoughts if there’s anyone else who reads this post.

Thank you again. Xx

Vitamin drops are fairly recent. Think of all the healthy people you know who would not have been given them.

Thank you so much for your reply.
I’m currently having CBT for anxiety.
I actually missed my last appointment and thought about stopping as I hadn’t had any recent “issues” but the past few weeks I’ve been excessively worrying more than usual.

A normal person might think “oh I’ve not given any vitamins for a while, I’ll start again tomorrow” but I’m like “omg i can’t remember the last time, what damage have I done to her, her teeth will have issues, etc etc” Confused

I've never even heard of vitamin drops.
