Baby sick after feeding

My daughter is 15 days old and twice this week she has vomited up after feeding. She is EBF and is showing no other signs of being poorly.

The first time she was cluster feeding on night every hour and vomited about half an hour after feeding.

Second time she had a much longer feed than normal as we had been out and she had gone slightly longer than normal and again, about 30 mins after feeding (while asleep on my chest) she spewed it all up.

Has she just overfed or is it sometime I should ring 111 about?
Going into weekend and doctors is closed.

This might be a silly question but are you burping her properly after each feed or stopping halfway through a long feed to burp? My little one spits up if I don't do this properly and I'm always amazed at how much he burps!!

Does she seem in discomfort when she does throw up?

It's most likely posseting which is completely normal. It may look like a lot of the milk but isn't really. My DS is fairly sicky even now he's weaning but his weight isn't affected and he's happy and healthy.

If your baby genuinely is throwing up lots and lots then speak to your MW or HV or GP because they can recommend things.

Actually, speak to someone anyway, but it's almost certainly posset and nothing to worry about.

Maybe try burping for a bit longer if no physical signs of discomfort. My youngest used to have to burp every single time otherwise would be sick

Thanks for replies.
I do burp her but sometimes I think she swallows a lot of air, she is quite a windy baby - I've burped her a bit longer tonight. She also gets hiccups pretty often, but not always from feeding.

I don't think she is unwell, it was just a bit traumatic seeing her sick like that, but she doesn't seem unwell and doesn't cry much over it. She's had a bit of spit up but these two times was a fair bit more than that.

HV is coming next week - I will ask her about it, but keep an eye on her.

Is this your first daughter? Sometimes babies ARE particularly sicky- even after burping. Dd1 used to puke so much we had to use a bath sheet to burp her rather than a Muslim- I think you might have a pukey one!
