Hello,

My 4 month old son has a very smelly belly button. It looks absolutely fine, no swelling redness etc but it just smells foul.

What could it be??

Thanks

Does washing it help?

HappyHammy · 31/08/2019 16:23

Old soap Or cream that's dries on.. Can you clean it with just warm water and cotton wool.

If there is any discharge ask nurse to have a look

@Suzie81 I bathe him regularly as he's quite a messy boy but it still smells.

@HappyHammy no discharge. But if the cream doesn't help then I'll get it checked out

@HappyHammy thank you for your advice. I put liquid talcum powder and it done the job! Doesn't smell anymore xx
