Rotavirus vaccine - can side effects last 1 week +?

I can’t find anything online about how long the side effects might last. Ds has the vaccine a week ago and has been out of sorts ever since. He had random green poos etc for a few days and crying a lot and painful wind and past couple of days or so the painful wind/poos have increased. I feel like I’ve lost my happy baby. Has anyone else experienced this for so long after the vaccine? Could it be a side effect? He doesn’t have a fever any more after the initial day of having it.

Rubbish :( . Hope it’s stopped now. Wish they’d tell you this stuff as I was just told side e would only last a couple of days by the nurse.

Wow, I did not know there was a rota virus vaccine now.

My oldest got rotavirus at 2 (15yrs ago) , and only just made it through. I still have nightmares about it.

So having the vaccine is a good idea.

Maybe see a gp though, if your baby is unwell, to have him checked.

Side effects for my daughter did drag on for a bit longer than we were told - probably about 2 weeks? She was a misery and had some very interesting nappies and bad wind. It wasn't nice at all but I've heard the horror story of my little sister getting rotavirus as a baby and to be honest it made the side effects seem like nothing at all in comparison Sad it was awful! Hope he feels better soon!
