What is this rash on my baby?!

Hi all. My DD is five months old and for the past couple of weeks has gotten a mark/rash on her face and neck. The first time was about a week ago when it appeared on her face (first picture). I had done the washing up a few minutes previously and then touched her face, so assumed it was caused by that (although I washed my hands). I rang my health visitor and she said it was likely irritation cause by residual washing up liquid and, as long as she still appeared fine and the rash didn’t worsen, to not worry.

Thankfully it faded within an hour or so and I didn’t think much more about it. Today however, she was sitting on my lap when I noticed the rash had appeared again, this time on her neck. I hadn’t been doing the washing up beforehand, and was simply holding her on my lap. Again, it disappeared within an hour or so. The only thing I can think of was that she was wearing a bib, but she’s always worn bibs!

In both cases, the rash has felt hot to the touch and disappeared under pressure. She seems totally fine otherwise, happy and smiley, still drinking well and still having wet and dirty nappies.

She is formula fed and had the same formula the whole time. No solid food yet, no known allergies. We’ve always used the same washing powder.

I’m baffled!

Little kids get random rashes all the time. Unless it's persistent or looks worrying I wouldn't even bother trying to work out why. Just looks like a bit of mild irritatation from the pics.

Do you wear perfume at all?
Do you wipe her face with baby wipes?
