Infected ear piercing.

My 10yo dd has her ears pierced about three weeks ago. They’ve been fine up until yesterday when she knocked her ear. The lob has swollen so much that the front part of the earring has been sucked into the ear and started to close up over the top.

I’m waiting for a call back from doctor but has anyone got any experience of anything else I can do to help get it out?

Have you been batheing it with cool boiled salted water? Who did the piercing?

It was a local place that did the piercing.

I’ve taken her to Dr since posting and she’s got antibiotics and is going to have to go to hospital for it to be removed 😐.
