Perforated eardrum surgery

Has anybody’s child had a myringoplasty to repair a perforated eardrum? My daughter is due to have one in a week or so and I was wondering if anybody had to stay in overnight, or recovery/pain experiences.
I’m due to take my eldest away the next day, but obviously she latches on to me when she’s feeling distressed or worried, so now I’m having a little panic about it all!
Thank you in advance 😀

I've had the op myself. I've had many ear ops since I was a child and I don't remember this being exceptionally awful. Painful for the first couple of days but nothing paracetamol/ibuprofen couldn't handle.

And I was in for a day surgery. In and out by the early evening. Hope it all goes well and she is feeling better soon.

Yes just last month. She was in and out same day. Just stock up on paracetamol and neurofen. She was sore for about 5 days but fine now.
