High temp- GP?

Hello. Just wondering what other people do when their toddlers are unwell (so can't say how they feel!). Would you take your lo to the GP if they had a high temp for a couple of days? Maybe I'm too cautious- don't want to sound like a crazy mum if I take her tomorrow. I think I read to treat at home up to 5 days but what is it's something nasty? Thanks for your thoughts...

Are you giving pain relief?

EggbertHeartsTina · 07/08/2019 19:51

A) how high is the temp?

B) is it going down with calpol / ibuprofen!

C) is toddler ok in themselves and are they drinking and doing plenty of wees?

It would depend on answers to the above

Yes- Calpol or ibuprofen every 4 hrs. It brings the temp down and she's back to her normal self for a while until it wears off.

She hates me taking her temp but I would imagine around 38 ish. She's her normal self ish on medication. Normal wees. Drinking and eating ok apart from she didn't want much tea tonight.
