My DD is 5 weeks old and I have formula fed from the beginning. But, she is not going toilet for at least 3 days and really seems to struggle for the day or so before she goes. Health Visitors have said this is to be expected with formula fed, and it's more about the consistency than regularity?! Any tips on how I could help things be a bit more regular or at least not as strenuous on her?

Hey. Poor little mite's system is probably still just getting used to everything going through for the first time, but if she's showing signs of discomfort, it might be worth experimenting a bit. What formula are you using? Cow and Gate for Hungrier babies gave our little man horrible constipation, but the regular formulation worked a lot better. Others swear by Aptamil.

Look on YouTube for some little massage tips too - cycling the legs, gently rubbing the tummy clockwise. It releases gas and can get things going.

Good luck x
