Baby cold hands and feet

I just noticed the last 2 days that my 7 week old hands and feet are unusually cold.

I know it can be normal for infants but also know it could be one of the first signs of sepsis.

So I'm just wondering if there are no other symptoms and no fever, is it more than likely just normal?

Yes generally I've found babies to be like grown ups with their own wee quirks like this. My first always had cold hands and feet.

That being said, sepsis is serious and if baby seems poorly at all I'd get them checked. Cold hands and feet with a temperature elsewhere then I'd be worried.

It's very easy to panic about every little symptom though when chances are it's nothing. Been there!

Cold hands and feet with other symptoms of illness would be a red flag and need medical checks urgently. Cold hands and feet but otherwise well is probably just normal.
