I'm a first time mum here and have noticed my baby often holds up one of his fists and stares at it for a long time. He brings it close to his face and keeps it there and he doesn't seem aware that he has another hand, just the right one he focuses on. I've attached a pic.
He does it a lot and for a long time and I don't know if this is normal, is he just exploring his hands and becoming more aware at 3 months old?
I googled it (stupid I know) and articles that came up mentioned autism, so now I've freaked myself out. There is some history of autism on DS' father's side.
Anybody seen this before?
