Teething, lack of appetite and help!

8 months old. Decreased appetite (off all textured food/finger foods) and decreased fluids all round.

Have tried: icecubes, teething pouches, syringes, spooning liquid etc

Been ongoing a week now. Any more advice would be appreciated. Was weaning great and appeared to enjoy new textures. Last 5 days will only take occasional cold fruit or veg puree. Is dairy free at present.

For gums, tried cold cloth in gums, anbosol, gels, powders, calpol, ibuprofen.

Nappies are ok at present and been at gps last week to check throat etc. Must have been the teething started and I just hadn't realised.

TIA

You're baby is under 1 I wouldnt worry too much about being off food...my LO (2yrs old) is always off food when teething. I still offer foods at the usual time- just up the formula in the meantime when not eating. It passes.

Thanks so much for your reply 😊 try not and stress then 😂

Just give your LO what they want to eat when. Mine mostly wants milk (mixed fed so bf and formula) when teething.

Good that nappies are OK Smile . I tried a Gummee Glove for one of my little ones when they were teething and it was a great help.

As long as nappies are ok I would try not to worry. Hope it passes for you both soon
