My 13 month old had her vaccinations 11 days ago including MMR. As a side effect she has developed what seems to be a very mild form of measles - rash on her body, raised temperature, loss of appetite, very tired and generally feeling ratty. Today she seems a little better in that her temperature is normal and the rash is fading. She’s still more tired than usual and very clingy.
My question is, is this mild form of measles/side effect of MMR vaccine in any way contagious? Could she be a risk to babies and children who haven’t been vaccinated if they came into contact with her? Do I need to keep her isolated until she is totally better?
