My 13 month old son has had severe eczema since he was 3 months old. His eczema is terribly severe all over his body and has landed us in hospital a few times with infections. He also has severe allergies and intolerance and is therefore currently only feeding on Neocate hypoallergenic formula. I'm looking for advice on a highly specialised dermatologist/allergist who would take on my son. We live in Manchester and previously were under dermatologist Dr Clayton, however he wanted to put my baby onto immune- suppressant drugs which I was not happy with (until I knew it was a very last option), he told us other then immune-suppressants, he cannot help us, and we were therefore dismissed from his clinic and have now been left high and dry! (trust NHS....). I''m looking for recommendations on a specialist dermatologist/allergist who has expertise in severe cases of eczema in the Manchester area (or even elsewhere. At this point we are willing to travel.) I would consider paying privately as well. Thanks in advance:)
