What is this on my son's foot?

Appeared last week, bit painful to walk on. I've considered a verucca but it doesn't seem typical. Very smooth surface and no dark spots in centre. Any ideas?

molluscum?? look at google images

Thanks, I’ve had a look but I don’t think it fits. He only has this one lesion, and it looks more like a blister, whereas molluscum looks firmer from the images. And feet aren’t typically affected apparently.

I guess we’d better see a doctor for diagnosis. I’ve had verrucas myself, and this just doesn’t seem typical so I don’t want to use those treatments without a diagnosis.

It's a wart, imo. A verruca is just a wart that is growing inside out through being trodden on. Because it's in the arch of his foot it is growing outwards like a normal wart.

Okay, that sounds plausible. Off to google images of warts....
