Has anyone's child had LYME DISEASE?

DS7 presented a ring rash this morning. GP sent us to children's hospital who prescribed 3 weeks antibiotics for lymes as a precaution as they really can't be sure.

Has anyone's child been through similar? Did you get a definite diagnosis? Did it affect them at all?

Just feeling very worried.

Yes, the same happened with my then 3 year old last year. 3 weeks antibiotics and all fine. As far as I understand there is a blood test, but it us very unreliable...so no point really, much better to just treat.

There isnt any need to fret. The antibiotics will knock it on the head if it is Lymes.

Yes, my DD had it after she had a tick bite. She felt very poorly and had a large bulls eye rash. My understanding is if you catch it quick enough it should be absolutely fine (although I still irrationally worry it could come back!)
