Appendicitis?

Dd is nearly 6. For 2 days she has eaten basically nothing, has no appetite at all. Complaining of feeling sick but no vomiting or fever.
She has pain in her abdomen around belly button area and it hurts when she walks. She is very up and down, for example spending time playing in the garden and then sadly slumping on the sofa.
I am going to take her to the doctor this morning but what do you think?

Can she hop? If it really really hurts when she does, then it could be.

I’d take her to be looked at. I’m not a mum that traipses to the doctor for every sniffle, I self treat sprains, bad cuts and coughs etc but...
When DS1 was 8 he was sick once, then spent the next couple of days saying he felt sick, his tummy hurt etc. We just said he had a bit of a tummy bug, he hadn’t eaten for a couple of days so his tummy would hurt etc etc. About 3 days later he came in in the middle of the night saying his tummy really really hurt. (Disclaimer: he never cried or screamed and this is a boy who wants a plaster for a paper cut so we didn’t realise how much pain he was in!) so I decided to take him to A& E being the middle of the night and all. Turned out it was appendicitis and when they went in to operate he had burst, surgeon said it was the nastiest one he had sign for a while and they had to cut some of the lining around his bowel away. He had to have a month off school and had to have a long course of 2 different strong horrible antibiotics as the risk of post op infection was so high.
So any inexplainable tummy pain I would always get checked out. Better to be safe than sorry.
