Does this sound like a migraine?

DS is 5, woke up this morning complaining of head ache and belly ache, just wanted to lie on the sofa, very quiet which it's very unlike him. Not long after, said he felt sick, sat on the toilet looking very pale and almost nodding off to sleep while sat there. Then crying due to the belly ache.

My immediate thoughts were that he's picked up a stomach bug, but he did a normal poo, didn't vomit, then just wanted to lie down and asked me to close the curtains. He's now asleep.

He did have a bad headache which made him vomit a few years ago, but can't remember whether there was any abdominal pain. I've heard about abdominal migraines, but am I right in thinking that's just abdominal pain without the headache? Anyone with DC who suffer with migraines experience the same? I want to keep an eye on this if it is.

How is he now op? Does he have a temp? It could be a migraine yes or it could be a viral infection of some sort. Has calpol helped his headache at all?

It could be a migraine or just a bad bug.

He slept for about an hour, then woke up saying he felt better and demolished two bowls of cereal! He didn't have a temp, but I gave him calpol when he when he first started complaining of a head ache, he was very pale and quiet which isn't like him at all.

The calpol and sleep probably helped perk him up and reduce his pain. Was he fine the rest of the day?

Yes he was fine, maybe a bit less active than normal, which was noticeable as he's usually like an electric flea Grin It was very similar to the last time he had what I suspected might be a migraine - headache, very pale (green in the face even), a bit out of it, threw up once as then ok after sleep. Going to keep an eye on it, and if it starts happening regularly I'll take him to the docs.
