If you can comfort him I wouldn’t worry too much. If inconsolable it might be ear pain or throat pain.

And yes, fevers make you restless, confused, bad dreams etc when sleeping with one. Is the fever under control? You using neurofen (much better than calpol for temps).

We are alternating Calpol and Nurofen but seems ok at min thanks and not had anything since 4am. Still has v loose nappy though. 😟

With heavy colds the mucous and phlegm being swallowed can cause little ones to throw up, I even noticed when my ds was a baby his poops were mucous-y when he had heavy colds. How long has the fever lasted so far?

Since Sunday am when meds have kicked in he's up and playing fine then he goes tired or hot or sick or all 3 and i think I'm taking you back to docs. How long should a fever last?

Fevers should last no longer than 72 hours without seeing a doctor so you're hitting that mark this morning so if it's not broke today I'd try and get an appointment with your normal gp. If its a high temp its normal for that reaction of when meds wear off he gets tired and grumpy but when they kick in he perks up, that's a good sign they're doing their job.
