My daughter flaps her fingers, holds her breath and tences her body. This has become worst over the past year. shes also started covering her ears in parties abd tge cinema. We are awaiting a consultation.

Little things seem big things to her as well, and she doesnt seem to cope very well with them and goes into complete meltdown.

Could this be autism. If so, are there any tips on how I can help/suport her please?

How old is your daughter op? The short answer to your question is yes it could be autism. The long answer is you probably won't know for sure for a long time until she is referred and assessed. In the mean time I'd write down all the concerns you have about her and if she met any milestones later than average and take these to your hv or gp. If she's old enough for school you could discuss your concerns with her teacher.
