Child rash on arm

My 4 year old son woke up this morning with this rash on his Arm, just on one of his arms. Does anybody know what this rash is? I'm wondering if he's maybe slept funny and it's rubbed against his pyjama top or bedding? Thank you 😊

No it's not raised. It looks very similar to a carpet burn or friction burn rash. And he hAs been rolling around on the cArpet in short sleeves so I wonder if it Is from that, but I wasn't sure as that wAs yesterday that he was doing that and I never noticed the rash yesterday when I was getting him ready for bed. Can I ask what a petichae rash is?

It's small pockets of blood under the skin. Result is usually small, flat specks of red. Google will terrify you because the rash is sometimes linked to scary conditions, but it can easily occur due to trauma.

I'd personally just see what it's doing tomorrow - provided he's otherwise well. Most the time rashes come and go and you never find out what caused them...
