Baby belly button

My son is 10 weeks old and this is his belly button. I have showed DRs and midwifes over the past 8 weeks since his cord came off and they all say it's fine, it'll heal. Last week I showed our health visitor and said she thinks it's just skin but to keep it clean and air it out and if there's no improvement after a week take him back to the GP. We are going to the DR on Wednesday but has anyone ever seen something like this or experienced it with their babies? It still weeps but isn't hot, smelly or tender to the touch so the HV said it's not infected.

Thank you in advance

My LO has an Umbilical granuloma. My HV told me to put salt on it twice a day for 10 mins then wash it off. within a few days it looked great.

Thank you very much. I've looked it up and this sounds about right. Going to the dr tomorrow to double check

So we went to the DR yesterday and he said it's healthy tissue and has prescribed fucidin cream to be applied 1-2 times a day for 5-7 days. I've looked it up and it's to treat an infection. Hopefully this'll help
