Almost unbearable leg ache

My son has had leg ache for around 6 months now, at first assumed growing pains but now I'm not so sure as it affects him all through the day, pain usually sits at around 7-9 but from Fri it's been at a 9 or 10, he is also constantly tired but he goes to bed at a reasonable time. Doctor took bloods last week and they said they'd call if anything came back and they haven't so assuming all is ok there. Only other thing is he's had daily headaches from around the same time which the doctor knows about and he was seeing a paediatrician about (she said growing pains for legs and wasn't concerned) I thought maybe this could be related but paed said headaches must be migraines (although 2 medications haven't worked) and MRI has came back clear ( fear of brain tumour due to raised optic nerves) I'm at a loss, he is in pain daily, he's not putting it on as it's stopping him doing stuff he loves doing, he doesn't play any active sports so I doubt muscle strain. Pain is thigh area and Fri & yesterday hamstring area (again probably not strains as it's both legs (although one more than the other) and he doesn't play any active sports) anyone had this with their kids and know what I can do? Symptoms:

Daily leg pain above the knee both legs pain 8/9
Daily all day headaches pain 6-8
Constantly tired, rubbing eyes and lazing on sofa.

He is 11, 12 in September

Clear MRI and looks like clear bloods (unsure of what was being tested)

About 40 mins from Glasgow, I will try get in touch with his paedetrician, if that fails will try your suggestion, will also ask about tight hamstrings and other suggestions made

My Ds has bad leg and back pain. He has been seeing an OT for fine motor skill issues but she has also been working with us to try and help his pain. She feels it might be growing pains and has given him exercises to do. He is back to see her in a couple of weeks and she is going to refer him to the physio if he is still suffering. He has daily pain but it is worsened by exercise and activity. He does have tight hamstrings too.

Hope you get it sorted soon.
