Little bump on arm

Hi, I have made an appointment to my 8 year old's pediatrician for a checkup next week. She has a small bump on her arm I noticed about a month ago. It can either be flesh colored or red. It is about 1-2 mm in diameter- a perfect circle. It is moveable and seems to be on top of the skin
I called a health hotline and was told by a nurse it was likely a cyst and to apply hot compresses 4 times a day. I am doing that, but it seems to me to be a growth on top of the skin. I have another daughter who has an eating disorder. We waited 7 months for treatment. For half that time, she was a borderline anorexic. One of my parents is on dialysis, and is not doing well. A cousin has lymphoma. My other parent who provides care has brought up suicide with me. At this time, a lady I know who battled anorexia for many years actually did commit suicide. I have been so stressed out for months now, that I feel ready to bring the 8 year old in to emergency. Does this bump sound like it could be cancer? I am so used to everything falling apart this last year, that I am almost conditioned to expect the worst.

No, OP, it is not cancer.
It could be molluscum, it could a banal skin tag, a lipoma, or even a verruca....

I am sorry you have been through tough times Flowers
