Itchy bottom, help!

DD aged 10 keeps getting an extremely itchy bottom at night which stops her sleeping.

I give her Ovex worm medicine but it doesn't seem to make a lot of difference!

Any ideas as to what it could be.

She uses Sanex shower gel as I thought it could be a sensitivity thing.

Are you following the Ovex instructions correctly and giving the second dose.
Torch inspection at night for worms.
Dusting, hoovering, laundering all sheets, towels etc.
Pants under pjs.
Cut finger nails.
Hand washing.
Make sure she is wiping correctly.

If it is worms, there may be an infection source at school
