My son has had this since he was 18 month old. He's 13 now and it's really ramped up. He suffers with knee pain and every few months it gets bad enough that he needs crutches for a bit. It normally last about 10 days but this time its 2 and a half weeks so far. Seen gp and doctor at a and e md both saying it his hypermobility and to rest and take ibuprofen and calpol. He is doing this and the meds dont touch it. I'm worried now that it's more serious form of hypermobility like ehlers dangles or possibly Osgood schlatter. Can anyone relate to these flares hes having?

Ask for referral to physio
And to the nearest hypermobility clinic usually under rheaumatology
Try the hypermobility.org website

Hi yes he has had physio over the years and been under rheumatology who he is seeing again in July. I'm just amazed at how sudden it can come on and Joe badly hes affected, then it will go like nothing has happened
