Petrified my daughter has asthma

Dd2 is five. Some background:

When she was 2-3 she'd wake up in the night barking like a seal. It was relentless. She had chest X-rays which revealed nothing, saw a paediatrician who was useless, GP put her on brown inhaler and we had a blue one for as and when. Croup? Bronchitis? Asthma? No one knew and weren't prepared to commit with her being so young.

Seemed to have grown out of all of this and inhalers stopped when she was 3.

Fast forward to this March. Three weeks of "croup" aka night cough. Took her to a GP three bloody times within a week to be basically ignored. Eventually had three days of prednisolone, no change. Back on brown inhaler for a few weeks. Cough cleared up.

Mid May - cough is back at night. Back giving her brown inhaler. Also occasionally says "my tummy hurts".

She did a long run a few weeks ago for a school charity event and coughed for a good hour after.

Me: late- asthma diagnosed at 19.
Dd1: also had night cough and was told she was asthmatic. Inhalers taken off her when she was 6/7 - at the same time as dd2 (see above).

I'm going to try and get a GP appointment again tomorrow.
