Few second long visual auras in 15 year old

My teenage daughter started having auras about 6 months ago, they last a couple of seconds then eyes return to normal, classic auras, zig zags and sparkles. No headache or any other symptoms. They were happening a few times a week but now a few times a day. Eyes have been checked and blood and GP keeping an eye on it. Optician said it is optical migraines. Her dad and I have both had migraines before. Anyone else experienced this? GP thought hormonal because of age.

I have had them since being a teenager - optical migraines, not accompanied by any other issues. Although I occasionally get “normal” migraines too!

They tend to occur more when I’m tired or stressed out or rushing around etc.
